Estimates of wildcat numbers in Scotland vary widely depending on who you listen to. The official Mammal Society story is that there are between 400 and 2,100 wildcats in Scotland, depending on what pelage identifying features you use. What seems clear is that extinction is a distinct possibility if action is not taken. We are not told what action that should be so BoG-WiG will try to find out and take it. |
